The Grand Teton Institute

We have formed the non-profit Grand Teton Institute, to be funded by charitable donations from our founders and friends. The Institute will be dedicated to researching into the Diseases of Aging.

We have formed the non-profit Grand Teton Institute, funded by charitable donations from our founders and other supporters. The Institute is dedicated to research into the Diseases of Aging.

While many medical professionals view aging as a natural and unavoidable process, we and several leading research centers embrace the philosophy that aging itself is a treatable biological process. Many researchers now go further—framing aging as a disease, or at least as the primary driver behind most chronic diseases and disabilities.

Aging as the Root Cause of Disease

Humans overwhelmingly die—beginning in our 50s—from three categories of diseases that are rare in young adults:

Cancers

Cardiovascular diseases

Diseases of the brain

We believe that understanding why humans are biologically programmed this way can eventually reveal the mechanisms that dictate lifespan and healthspan. This research will likely allow humanity to eliminate or postpone these diseases by decades or more.

Because many health conditions run in families, archiving a family’s genomes will be essential to understanding hereditary predispositions to age-related diseases. Future treatments will rely heavily on identifying and addressing these genetic susceptibilities.

The HomeSite Donation & Research Retreat Program

Program Conception

We plan to donate HomeSites to several different research institutes. These HomeSites will enable the institutes to raise funds to build homes with integrated research offices, serving as retreats for their researchers and our fellow Community Members.

Research Retreat Development

These HomeSites will be used to build homes with offices that serve as research retreats for their researchers. Researchers will be able to conduct work in these spaces as part of their retreat environment.

Community Integration

Researchers will be able to conduct work, collaborate, and engage with a community that values their work. These retreats will allow the researchers to work and also be part of our community.

Events & Symposiums

We plan to hold conferences, symposiums, fireside chats, and summits to explore the latest medical technologies. Some of these events will be simulcasted.

Partnership Announcements

We have had positive preliminary discussions with three of these institutes and will report on further progress as we build out the programming for the HomeSite donation program.
